Reflection

Life on a Spanish Mission

Project based lessons which include multiple modalities for learning and creativity are a great pleasure to teach. I loved how the students were able to place themselves within historical contexts, to better understand people and events from the past.

Point of View: Boston Massacre

5th Grade Social Studies

Students were asked to compare and evaluate different accounts of the Boston Massacre, as related by primary sources from opposing sides of the conflict. They analyzed the bias and differences between the British and Colonist points of view.
